    We welcome you to summer concerts in Trondheim and Oppdal. We will sing the summer in with nordic folk tunes and new music written for Cantus. There will be Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish music with variation in tempo, rhythm and expression. A dear collaborator of Cantus, Henning Sommerro, will join us at the concerts. This time we will perform both the dear and known songs he has written and arranged for us, as well as a brand new composition named Hirtir.

    TRONDHEIM – ØYSTEINSALEN

    Thursday June 13th 20:00

    The special thing about this concert is that during the evening Cantus will be an examination choir for a young conductor student. Trym Ramlo Ystad finishes four years of studies in choir conducting at the Norwegian Academy of Music this spring, and he has chosen to do one part of the examination with Cantus.

     

    OPPDAL – OPPDAL KRISTNE SENTER

    We are very happy to collaborate with Oppdal Songlag for the first time when we visit Oppdal Kristne Senter this summerday.

    Vi ønsker deg velkommen til sommerkonserter i Trondheim og Oppdal. Vi synger sommeren inn med både nordiske folketoner og musikk som er nyskrevet for Cantus. Det blir norsk, finsk og svensk musikk, med god variasjon i tempo, rytme og uttrykk. Med oss på konsertene har vi Henning Sommerro, en svært kjær samarbeidspartner for Cantus. Denne gangen blir det både fremføring av de kjente, kjære sangene han har laget og arrangert for oss, og også en rykende fersk komposisjon ved navn Hirtir.

    TRONDHEIM – ØYSTEINSALEN

    Det helt spesielle med denne konserten er at Cantus i løpet av kvelden skal få være eksamenskor for en ung dirigentstudent. Trym Ramlo Ystad avslutter fire års studier i kordireksjon ved Norges Musikkhøgskole denne våren, og han har valgt å gjøre den ene delen av eksamenskonserten med Cantus.

    Vi har stor glede av å for første gang få samarbeide med Oppdal Songlag når vi gjester Oppdal Kristne Senter denne sommerlørdagen.

     

  • Upcoming event:

    At the end of March we will be visited by American Eric Barnum, who brings brand new music with him. It will be very exciting and we really look forward to it!

    For this rehearsal weekend we will also be joined by one of Norway’s own great musicians, Henning Sommerro. This will be a weekend full of great music and collaborations.
