Do you want to become a member of Cantus? This autumn will be very exiting with, among other things, a tour to Japan and the release of a new Christmas album, and we need three new sopranoes on our team.
To apply for admission, you must:
– Be between 20 and 30 years old
– Know how to read music and have choir experience
– Be able to go to Japan November 26 – December 3
Do you want to join us on new adventures? Send an e-mail to email@example.com to arrange an audition! We are primarily looking for sopranoes, but are interested in hearing all voices.

We welcome you to summer concerts in Trondheim and Oppdal. We will sing the summer in with nordic folk tunes and new music written for Cantus. There will be Norwegian, Finnish and Swedish music with variation in tempo, rhythm and expression. A dear collaborator of Cantus, Henning Sommerro, will join us at the concerts. This time we will perform both the dear and known songs he has written and arranged for us, as well as a brand new composition named Hirtir.

TRONDHEIM – ØYSTEINSALEN
Thursday June 13th 20:00
The special thing about this concert is that during the evening Cantus will be an examination choir for a young conductor student. Trym Ramlo Ystad finishes four years of studies in choir conducting at the Norwegian Academy of Music this spring, and he has chosen to do one part of the examination with Cantus.
OPPDAL – OPPDAL KRISTNE SENTER
Saturday June 15th 16:00
We are very happy to collaborate with Oppdal Songlag for the first time when we visit Oppdal Kristne Senter this summerday.
At the end of March we will be visited by American Eric Barnum, who brings brand new music with him. It will be very exciting and we really look forward to it!
For this rehearsal weekend we will also be joined by one of Norway’s own great musicians, Henning Sommerro. This will be a weekend full of great music and collaborations.
The results will be heard on an upcoming album – stay tuned!
